This woman’s life should serve as a reality check to those in the West who swear by India as some place of healing gurus and swamis and kindness because it is a load of BS. India has some of THE worst child abuse in the world, and it is all sanctioned and protected by the ruling and middle classes. By simply focusing on yoga and Osho, we are blind to the true suffering of the average Indian person. We sit upon our high horses assuming that everyone in India is practicing peace while being trained in computer sciences or telemarketing. Meanwhile, the truth is that the country is a victim of its own polarization, hypocrisy, and downright evil. Yes, forcing toddlers into labor camps is nothing shy of evil. Shunning entire populations of people as “Untouchable” is evil. This isn’t just about improving the conditions of women who can afford to go to theaters; it is about improving the conditions of India’s most indigent people who are voiceless and muted by the effective public relations of the country’s most wealthy.

I call the impish Mr. Lee what he is: a Tom (and I’m not talking about the canvas shoes.)

And it’s not Jesus’s birthday anyway. It’s Sol Invictus. Few of these Holy Peddlers know the history of their own religion. Perhaps if they knew what the Christmas tree really represented, they’d be disgusted, too. But I doubt it. These masses are so brainwashed, they’re cannibalistic anyway. I would gladly work on any holiday. When you have and cultivate genuine family bonds, you don’t need a day to squeeze it all in. Every day is lived for your family. Every day is one in which you honor your ancestors and traditions, for you are a living testament to their teachings (and the religious ones, if that’s what you believe.) I may be incensed, but how much more livid would Jesus be to see what hypocrisy and ugliness is carried out in his name? His anger, alone, would be enough to roll back the sepulchre.

I have been genuinely disgusted, watching the “Christmas” crowd this holiday season. They’ll mow you down in the mall parking lot, just so they can get to a sale. That’s the spirit! Everyone asks if your Christmas shopping is done. It’s insensitive and small-minded. Who cares? Love is neither proven nor shown with gifts. And no one should feel obligated to buy presents. Parents who focus on presents are more problem than parent. When children feel loved, when they are given what they need on as-needed basis, there is no need for some pathetic checklist of junk to pile up under a tree for them. I show up after school with gifts for my kids. It’s hard to pass a storefront without getting them something if I see something they’ll need or like. There is no Santa Claus. Why should I hustle and slave so that all the credit can go to some fat white man in a red suit? The only white man who did anything for us is the comptroller who signed my paycheck. And even that, I earned through toil. No one’s going to love you because you gave him/her something. The spirit of the holiday is pretty much dead. Who practices the principles of Moses, those of Jesus? Love thy neighbor, not love thy family. It’s obvious to care about one’s own family, but what do you do for others?

Fact is: There weren’t enough rooms for the kids and Ann’s “sister wives'” kids, too, at the White House. It was a logistical issue.

For the last time, people: The problem is the parents. Who put the gun in the house? Who left the gun in an accessible place? Who failed to teach the young man how to resolve problems without violence? I rest my case.
