How can anyone ask another for equality or respect? You either command it, or you don’t. If someone has to give you freedom, you can guarantee that you’ll never ever have it. Black teachers need to unite and open schools that save our children. I know the farce of American education all too well. A principal actually said to me that I was pushing my daughter too hard, that I should be glad my teen got a C in one of her classes; after all, it was better than failure, he explained. Tell me what university of repute accepts C students who don’t have trust funds. Prejudiced white people *want* to think that mediocrity is the best we can do; they’ll lie & tell you just that. But, look around you, brothers & sisters: In every gainful aspect of Western culture that we have engaged, we ran circles around our competitors. Golf, tennis, basketball, baseball, politics, media: you name it. The first self-made female millionaire in this country & the only female self-made billionaire in this country? I’ll tell you this much: neither of them look like the Great White Hope black people are sadly waiting for. When will my people realize that our greatest hope lies within ourselves?

I am actually glad this story is circulating because this is prima facie evidence of exactly what I’ve been shouting from the mountain tops to the mute & deaf masses. Liberalism is destroying black people. This program creates a generation of welfarites (as my Gran Gran called them) who will grow up to be fully reliant upon the government for their needs. It perpetuates the cycles of ignorance, poverty, & mental slavery. Every dollar handed out beyond a temporary, emergency, time-of-crisis need is a CHAIN that binds my people to their death. Only a fool thinks that Democrats in government “care.” You’ve forgotten that it is the party of Dixiecrats. It is the slave master’s party, & just because he has disguised his intentions doesn’t mean he has changed his sheets. Entrapping people into a state of permanent infirmity is NOT “care.” It is nothing shy of indirect murder. Yes, murder. The scores of my brothers, our fathers, sitting in prison & in mortuaries are mostly there because they were dehumanized from birth. What other institutions or states of existence but the government’s ones do they know?

Do you remember growing up and hearing people tell you, “Why, you could grow up to become the president if you wish”? Well, dear, you’re going to need a lot more than work ethics and wishes. Try this: “His remarks on the subject drew a standing ovation from the audience, which included Adelson, the American businessman who has promised to donate more than $100 million to help defeat Obama.” What you really should’ve been told was that presidents aren’t elected, nor are they people who sweat their way to the top. They are bought and sold by the billions of dollars. Bohemian Grove.

When will we stop making references to “government money”? There’s no such a spooky phantom as “government money”! This is OUR money! It isn’t “elected” (wink, wink) officials’ money with which to do whatever they desire.

Those who decry the stingy public benefits shaken at the poor (to stimulate the economy, incidentally) would best redirect their activism at America’s goliath “Welfare King,” aka Israel. In addition to the trillions flowing between the US & Israel, via corporate operation/investment & direct public aide in the billions per annum, we have been funding wars, genocides, & intifadas for Israel’s sake in what will inevitably prove futile attempts to protect our investment in the Middle East. Get real. Israel doesn’t have the manpower to defeat its most hostile neighbors, nor will it ever know a moment of civil unrest within its pilfered borders as long as it exists by the blood of the Palestinian people. After all these years of depleting our own reserves in Iraq & Afghanistan, we couldn’t defend Israel much either. (We could bring in the UN Army for giggles, perhaps. Our European allies? More giggles. At this point, Europe is slowly returning to Arab dominion while Brits are busy trying to fill seats at the Olympics & getting the Queen to smile for public appearances.) Israel’s only hope is in its nuclear stockpiles, of which it refuses to disarm itself despite repeated international admonishment. But what other kind of behavior could the world expect from “God’s chosen people”? Shalom.

Just imagine if Barak & Michelle Obama took in one quarter of the nonsense that people say about them. Would they have ever made it? Should the First Lady cry to herself & go get plastic surgery just because some Republican pundits call her ugly (though she’s gorgeous IMO)? Should the President need consoling & Dr. Ray’s gratis services because some people make fun of HIS ears?

All this anti-bullying jabberwocky is going to leave people unprepared to deal with the harshness of real life. Everyone in the public eye is criticized. These kids would never make it in Hollywood. How will these kids who have been coddled all their lives survive when they read about themselves in the Enquirer? They’d never make it in politics. Heck, they wouldn’t make it in the snake pits of American public education even; teachers & admins are, by far, the worst bullies & politicos I’ve encountered in any profession.

There’s nothing noble in rewarding weakness. The bullies are weak, but those who succumb to their taunts are even weaker. We are devolving into a society of people who act passively aggressive and cannot express themselves otherwise for fear of being outed by the word police.

Every day in junior high, girls followed me home and teased me. They chanted my name and mocked me. They called me “oreo” and “white washed” and blah, blah, blah. It was devastating to my developing identity, & I did everything I could to be “black enough” to fit in until I realized that those chicks were just jealous. The boys liked me, the girl who was different & college-bound, and that made girls angry. Today, I am SO GLAD they teased me. I was so driven to beat everybody & show them I was more than they said I was. And now look at them. Now they want to be MY friends, but they’re not even in the same circles. I still get the “oreo” comment now. I tell them, “Why, thank you. If being an oreo means having a successful career, being gainfully employed, having degrees from a reputable university, & speaking English articulately, then you’ve pegged me well. And, remember, that’s Professor Oreo, to you.”

This has everything to do with the mistreatment of our young people. We look at the Wal-Mart crowd and at this young man, and we say “someone” should do something about “their” children, “their” problem. We start looking for people to blame.

It is OUR problem. We are ALL responsible for OUR children.

When we continuously ignore, ridicule, belittle, demean, and deceive them, we see young people unleashing their rage upon society because their voices have been muted, and they are frustrated with their failed attempts at communicating. In all of these actions, there are victims and perpetrators; both groups are in pain. I can only imagine the mountain of pain this young man was in to compel him to do such a thing to people with whom he has no connection. He has dehumanized them as he felt he had been dehumanized. Similarly, the Wal-Mart mob could not see the incivility of their behavior because they have lived in cages all their lives, dehumanized. The windows in their neighborhoods as well as the delineations between them and authority create perfect rehearsals spaces for the prisons many will later inhabit.

When we ALL begin taking responsibility for one another, actively unifying and working as a collective, we will be able to stop shaking our heads and wagging our fingers. Until then, we will continue to merely hope that tragedies like this one don’t happen in our neighborhoods.
